How to paint a Goldfinch

Happy Friday! I encourage everyone to take a 15 minute break, sit outside, and close your eyes. Listen to the world around you and I am certain you will hear a few of my favorite things- BIRDS! I took a moment to enjoy our gorgeous trails and wildlife at the Anderson Conservation Area, and painted a visitor I met along the way. Why don’t you paint with me?
I don’t always love what I paint or create. You don’t have to be a professional the first few tries at something new, so give yourself some grace. This painting was done in 15-minutes and I had all sorts of feelings while painting it, but in the end I love it. I hope you enjoy it too and join me to paint a goldfinch of your own.
