Anderson Conservation Area

The Anderson Conservation Area is a 157-acre wildlife preserve dedicated to providing an enriching educational experience. The Wolfe Nature Center sits on this land, as well as a 15-acre pond. This area has served schools and the public for educational events and programming since 1986. Our annual Oregon Trail event is held here in May and supports 300 students and staff, from 5 different schools. For any scheduling or program/ event questions, please contact our naturalist, Cassandra Barbosa, at cbarbosa@montgomerycountyia.gov.
